Conference dinner

The PEMD 2024 Conference Dinner will take place at St Mary’s Church in the city centre’s Lace Market district, which is famous for its architectural splendour.

St Mary’s is the ancient Parish and Civic Church of Nottingham. The present building, well over 500 years old, is believed to be at least the third church on the site. It offers a unique historic and atmospheric setting for the PEMD dinner this year, and we hope to see you there!

Tickets for the Conference Dinner are £115 (+VAT) and can be purchased when registering for the conference.

With limited tickets available, we highly advise booking the dinner in advance as we cannot guarantee tickets will be available for purchase at the conference.

How to get there

Please note that you will need to make your own way to the conference dinner, which is easily accessible via Nottingham’s public transport routes.

By tram

St Mary’s Church is located in the Lace Market area of Nottingham city centre and is conveniently located less than 2 minutes from the Lace Market tram stop that connects the city to the East Midlands Conference Centre via the Toton Line route. The journey takes approx. 20 minutes with an additional 10 minute walk from the conference centre to the tram stop (University Boulevard).

Tram tickets can be purchased from the machines located at each tram stop, with single journeys costing £3.00 per adult and £5.00 for a return journey ticket.

By car

The multi-story car park located on Pilcher Gate also provides easy access for guests who are driving to the city and again, is a 2 minute walk to St Marys Church.

By bus

Nottingham City Transport offers a bus route from the city centre to the University Campus, with a stop located less than 5 minutes from the conference centre. The Orange Line 34C runs approximately every 15 minutes during the evening with a city centre bus top located on Belward Street, near the Motorpoint Arena which is a 5 minute walk from St Mary’s Church. The journey takes approx. 30 minutes from Belward Street to Beeston Lane, East Midlands Conference Centre.

Mobile tickets can be purchased on the bus and fares are £2.00 per journey.
